Brody is an Associate at Walsh LLP. As someone who is committed to making an impact wherever he is, Brody has gained a full breadth of experience from various practice areas such as employment law and civil & commercial litigation.
Brody obtained both his Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) and Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. During his time in law school, Brody was highly active in the U of A Law sports clubs, playing for both the Golden Bearristers Law Rugby Club and the Litigators Hockey Team – of which he was named captain. Brody also served as the Vice President of the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada (HACC) for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. As VP HACC, he was responsible for organizing and judging the U of A internal HACC where participants became the management group of an NHL team or an NHLPA player agent to make competing submissions as to why a specified NHL player deserved a higher or lower salary. The winner represents the U of A at the national HACC competition. Brody himself represented the U of A at the national HACC in 2021.
If it was not already apparent Brody loves sports and all things related to sports – leading, participating, watching, and advocating sports activities. As a native Calgarian, he is an avid Flames fan. You would not be wrong in concluding that Brody has a bit of a competitive streak – when he is not fully immersed in sports, you’ll find him spending his time with family and friends, challenging them to some friendly card, board, or video games.
