Diana Foran has dedicated her life to the law, the land, and the people she shares it with. For decades, Diana has been both a steward of the land on a small cattle ranch with her husband in the Okotoks area and an advocate for her clients practicing family law at Walsh. Her approach to the law and her clients was inspired by the farming community, where everyone treats one another as family and are always there to help when they’re needed.

Sophisticated, but downhome. Experienced, but rural. Diana’s experiences in the country have shaped her personality and empowered her in and out of the courts. For Diana, the law, the process and her clients’ goals should always be practical, collaborative, and constructive. It’s paramount that her clients understand the process, and she endeavors to make that possible with an approach that values honesty and practical options over everything else. Diana is able to assist her clients to effectively resolve all types of family and matrimonial issues by combining litigation experience with her mediation and collaborative law training. Finding a resolution best suited to specific circumstances and needs is her ultimate goal.

Diana’s passion for being a part of her community and making a difference doesn’t end with the work day. She dedicates countless hours volunteering in programs for troubled teens, with Calgary Legal Guidance and in various community and charity fundraising events. Diana enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, and you can’t forget Trapper, her beloved golden lab. When she gets some downtime, she can be found reading, taking in live theatre or music and, because she refuses to sit still for all that long, running. In fact, Diana has completed the 61.3 km Goofy Challenge Race, 3-full marathons, and several half marathons. Somehow, she also finds time to sleep. Sometimes.
