Cody is an Associate at Walsh LLP who practices in the areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation, Estate Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Agriculture Law.

Cody is an associate at Walsh LLP, practising primarily in the area of civil and commercial litigation.  Cody also assists clients with a broad range of matters in the firm’s Claresholm office.

Cody obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary, with a major in accounting and a minor in Russian, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Victoria. During law school, he worked as a research assistant in the areas of contract law and international investment arbitration.  He completed his articles and worked for several years as a litigation associate at a large national law firm, including two years seconded to the firm’s Middle East office in Doha, Qatar.
Having gained invaluable experience, Cody left the national firm to find better balance for his family. He relocated to Claresholm, where he can trace four generations of his ancestry, and joined a small Southern Alberta firm. For more than four years, prior to joining Walsh LLP, Cody developed a broad general practice, including civil litigation, estate litigation, family law, criminal law, real estate, estate planning and administration, and business law.

Outside of the office, Cody can be found spending time with his wife and three children, tending to his garden and backyard chickens, and exploring the Porcupine Hills.
